India Service Learning Summer 2015
Center for International Education
Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2015
7 - 8 PM, Rhodes Room, Beveridge Hall
Please join the Service Learning group as they share stories and personal experiences from their stay at the Joybells Orphanage in India last August. Situated in the foothills of the Himalayas, the Joybells Orphanage is home to 34 children who come from remote, mountainous regions where extreme weather conditions, lack of food, and inadequate medical facilities have left them without families or access to education. These wonderful children are affectionate, eager to learn, and very considerate of one another. The children are especially appreciative of the NMH students who volunteer, welcoming them with boundless energy and affection.
